How to maintain the pressure washer?

2023-02-23

Maintenance of pressure washers comes in two forms. One is routine maintenance, that is, maintenance should be carried out after each operation; It is maintained on a regular basis, that is, every two months.

First, routine maintenance steps:

1. Rinse hose and filter with detergent to remove any detergent residue to help prevent corrosion.

2. Turn off the water supply system connected to the high-pressure washer.

3. Pull the trigger on the servo gun rod to release all the pressure in the hose.

4. Remove the rubber hose and high pressure hose from the high pressure cleaning machine.

5. Cut the spark plug connection wire to ensure that the engine does not start (for engine models). For electric pressure washers, turn the power switch to the "on" and "off" positions four to five times for one to three seconds to remove water from the pump. This step will help protect the pump from damage. For engine-type pressure washers, you slowly pull the engine's starter cord five times to remove water from the pump. This step will help protect the pump from damage.

Precautions for regular maintenance:

1. Regular removal of fuel sediment from the storage tank will extend the service life and performance of the engine. Fuel deposits can cause damage to fuel lines, fuel filters, and carburetors.

2. Protect your pressure washer when not in use with the Kech Pump Protection Kit (9.558-998.0). The pump protective casing is specially designed to protect the pressure washer from corrosion, premature wear and freezing. Also apply lubricant to the valve and ring to prevent them from getting stuck.

Perform the following steps to periodically maintain the electric pressure washer:

1. Shut down the pressure washer.

2. Disconnect the high-pressure hose and servo gun rod from the pump.

3. Connect the valve to the pump protection tank and open the valve.

4. Start the cleaning machine; All the contents of the tank are sucked into the pump.

5. Shut down the cleaning machine. Pressure washers can be stored directly.
